Mandate:
2. command from a superior court/official to a lower one. 3. authoritative order or command: a royal mandate.

Mandate for Expectancy: Cultivating Servant Hearted Leaders for Kingdom Expansion and Christ’s Glory. Birthing Ministries—Father God is building the church. Our job as servant leaders is to love, serve, disciple, train  and release people into the call God has for them.

WHY THE FOCUS ON EVERYONE’S MINISTRY? BECAUSE WE ARE ABOUT KINGDOM EXPANSION WHICH MEANS STEWARDING THE PEOPLE OF GOD SO THEY MAY GROW TO MATURITY IN LOVE AND THE IMAGE OF CHRIST IN ORDER TO FULFILL GOD’S PLAN THROUGH EACH PERSON. NOT OWNING PEOPLE AND BUILDING THEM INTO OUR IMAGE.
2 Cor 5:15-21 (NASB) 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

WHY THE FOCUS ON EVERYONE’S GIFTS? BECAUSE JESUS EXPRESSLY GAVE THEM TO HIS CHURCH WITH THE EXPLICIT PURPOSE OF USING HIS GIFTS FOR BUILDING HIS KINGDOM AND HE IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW. Eph 4:1-16 (NASB) Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says, “When He ascended on high, He led captive a host of captives, And He gave gifts to men.”

9 (Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) 11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

HOME GROWN AND CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Psalm 127:1-3 (NASB) 127 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.

Expectancy is a work of the Lord and it will remain as such. In nature you have what is called an ecosystem. In an ecosystem untouched by man there is a natural order of things, an ebb and a flow. Everything effects everything. When everything is healthy, there is a balance and harmony. When something is removed for example a certain plant or animal it will destabilize the entire area at best and destroy it at worst.

Leadership is here to help steward the Lord’s ecosystem at Expectancy, not change it.

ORDER NOT CONTROL
Order is the opposite of chaos. Order implemented in the spirit of stewardship protects. Control in the spirit of ownership stagnates and stifles. Growth is often awkward and sometimes messy but ordered growth is always about getting rid of the old in order to make room for the new. God is not thwarted and overwhelmed by our messy growth and we shouldn’t be either when we see it in ourselves and others. Remember, “know no man after the flesh”, including yourself!

EXPECTANCY’S MODEL FOR LEADERSHIP AND GROWTH IS RELATIONSHIP AND SERVANT HOOD RELATIONSHIP.
Father loves relationship and so do we. We aren’t just born into a Kingdom, we are born into God’s family and are brothers and sisters to the Body of Christ at large.

Proverbs 18:1 (NKJV) 18 A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. We encourage friendship and fellowship in Christ’s Body of believers. No one is an island, everyone whom God has positioned in Expectancy is a valuable and integral part of the whole in His vision for Kingdom expansion.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (AMP) 24 And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.

SERVANT HOOD
Mark 10:45 (NASB) “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Jesus the Servant of all is our model, we want to be like Him. In preparation for serving in leadership at Expectancy, completion of Level I In Christ’s Image Training, a ministry school founded by Pastor Francis Frangipane is mandatory—This 6 month program trains the believer in Christlikeness, Humility, Prayer and Unity. While ministry styles or personalities vary, our foundation and agreement for ministry must not.
